In his meeting with the Ambassador of China to Botswana, Mr Zheng Zhuaqiang, both parties expressed interest in collaborating in agriculture mechanisation to boost the manufacturing of machinery such as tractors and other farming equipment. Mr Ralotsia and Mr Zhuaqiang also expressed interest in the establishment of industrial agriculture that would help promote food and meat processing, cattle breeding, clear energy, irrigation as well as advanced seeds and fertilizers. The duo also spoke about the possibility of exporting Botswana beef to China and the adoption of new planting techniques to help Botswana produce sufficient food.
In a separate meeting, Minister Ralotsia and the France Ambassador to Botswana, Ms Anne de la Blache expressed interest in improving relations on animal health, breed improvements, research and development. Both parties spoke about improving relations on veterinary training, exchange programmes, beef processing projects and the use of solar energy as well as plant processing to make pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The implementation of the above was seen as a solution to combating climate change, maximising yields per hectare and providing employment and enhancing technology transfer
