A large crowd, which included H.E. the President Lt. General Seretse Khama Ian Khama and the Honourable Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Thapelo Olopeng along with other senior government and sports officials gathered at the National Stadium to welcome Amos back and celebrate his string of successes in the IAAF Diamond League competitions.
For his part Amos told the crowd that he will be aiming for gold in Beijing . He further assured the crowd that hard under the guidance of his coach Jean Verster had been behind his steady improvement. "We have worked hard on my sprint and finishing and I feel good right now," he told the crowd.
Amos will finalize his preparations in South Africa before departing to Beijing for the World Championships.
