Botswana has regional airports that cater for tourists and other travellers across the country. Maun Airport [home base for TV’s “Bush Pilots”] is one of the busiest in Southern Africa. While bigger commercial carriers fly in from other centres in Botswana and elsewhere, it is the busy comings and goings of the light aircraft charter flights that account for most local air traffic.
You can charter flights for specific trips, though most visitors have itineraries arranged well in advance with all the inter-camp charter transfers pre-booked because it is usually more cost effective and seats can be limited.
